Reports everyone believes, without the Monday scramble.

We pull the figures out of your accounting, sales and stock systems, agree how each one is worked out, and build reports that update themselves.

Signs you need this

It's for businesses where the weekly report takes someone a day of exporting and pasting, and people still argue about what it says.

  • Two reports, two different answers

Sales has one number for last month and accounts has another. The meeting is spent working out which is right instead of what to do about it.

  • The report depends on one person

Every week someone exports from three systems and pastes it all into a spreadsheet. When they're off, there's no report.

  • The same fixes every month end

Mistakes get corrected in the spreadsheet, never in the system they came from, so next month someone corrects them again.

Two people talk in a warehouse aisle, one holding a tablet, with boxes on the shelves behind them.

What this covers

  • Dashboards and business intelligence

Dashboards and reports built around the decisions your managers make every week.

  • Data integration

Information from your different systems brought together in one place.

  • Data quality

Duplicates, gaps and errors fixed where they start, so they stop coming back.

  • Automated reporting

Month end and weekly reports that produce themselves, on time, from the same numbers.

  • Data access and privacy

Control over who sees which data, and a record you can show a client or a regulator.

What you get

  • One written definition for each number that matters
  • Data from your systems pulled together automatically, on a schedule
  • Reports that update themselves, built around decisions you make
  • Checks that flag missing or odd records as they arrive

How the project runs

  1. Trace every number

We list the questions you ask every week and follow each figure back to the system it comes from. Where two systems disagree, we find out why.

  2. Agree what each number means

Every important number gets a written definition, a person in your business who owns it, and one source.

  3. Connect, check, hand over

We connect your systems so the reports fill themselves, with checks that flag missing or odd records, and your team uses them early. Then we train them to run it.

Questions

Do we have to replace the systems we already use?

Usually not. We connect to what you already run and pull the data together from there, and if a reporting tool you already pay for can do the job, we build on it. If one system keeps producing bad data, we'll tell you, set out the options and what each costs, and you decide.

What makes a reporting project bigger or smaller?

Mostly how many systems we need to connect and how messy their records are. A couple of systems with clean data is a small job. Several systems that each count an order differently take longer, because the definitions have to be agreed before any report is worth building.

What happens when a number looks wrong after you've gone?

Each number has a named owner in your business and a written note of how it's worked out, so anyone can check it. The checks flag missing or odd records as they come in, and your team fixes the problem in the system where it was entered, so it stays fixed.
